January 29 – 31, 2020 Tokyo, Japan

Asia Nano Forum exhibited at the Japan nanotech 2020 on Jan 29-31, and also ANF organized the first Executive Committee (ExCo) meeting of 2020 on Jan 29, and had Asia Nano Forum Nanotechnology Commercialization Workshop on Jan30.

The ANF booth took up posters for introducing exciting nanotechnology R&D, policies and activities from each working group and Korea. This event presents excellent learning opportunities for our participating members to learn the state of the art nanotechnology development but also an unique partnership opportunity as well.

The ANF ExCo meeting was very well participated by most of its members and observers from 8 organizations including Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. The meeting reviewed ANF activities and the financial report in 2019. Our schedule including the summit 2020 was elaborated as well.

Moreover, we collaborated 2nd German-Japanese Nanotechnology Commercialization Workshop in the afternoon on Jan 29. In this event, Center for Research and Development Strategy of JST and Cluster Nanotechnology/Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH arranged programs for introduction of University Nano startups in Japan.

Nanotechnology/Nanoinitiative Bayern

ANF collaborated with Nanotechnology Business Creation Initiative (NBCI) Japan in NBCI’s annual roundtable discussion on nanotechnology updates from different countries including Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, and Taiwan on Jan 30 morning. And Alex represented ANF matters. Some ANF members joined into this meeting.



At first, each country introduces their industrial policies. And then, each startup and S&M presented his business and technology.

We will introduce Industrial Policies in Asian Countries firstly. Moreover, they introduce related startups.

Targets: Promotion and Creating new businesses in Japanese manufacturing and trade companies. Moreover we will contact VC and financial companies (investors) and Asian companies. We can invite Patent Firms to provide advisory on Intellectual Properties strategy and management for startups and Small Medium Businesses/Enterprises
