NANOTEC research team is awarded Technopreneur Prize2009
|
| On August 31, 2009 – Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) held “NSTDA Inventor's Day 2009” to celebrate the success of the agency's S&T research and development projects while awarded “Technopreneur Prize” to five university student teams in utilizing the Agency's technologies for business plan development. The NSTDA Technopreneur Prize was founded this year to recognize teams who employed NSTDA technology and developed it into business plan, competed and at least went to the Final Round of well-known business plan competitions in Thailand and also overseas. This is to encourage cooperation between students and researchers to add value to research assets of NSTDA and turn them into the real business. Almost 100 research and development projects done by researchers at the NSTDA's four national centers are being turned into commercial values through the process of patent listing. | In the event, the participated researchers in to-be-patented projects received honor of certificates while prize money and a trophy were also awarded to NSTDA's five technology development projects, which have earlier been patented. Dr. Nuttaporn Pimpha as the team leader of National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) research team that developed the project of Establishment of Gold Nanoparticle Technology for Fever of Unknown Origin Diagnosis is one of five teams that had been awarded the NSTDA Technopreneur Prize this year.
